SWMBO and myself took a trip down to the local Aldi this morning and the first thing of note was how many other bikers had the same idea. The car park was as near to full as I've seen it and we passed three shoppers carrying out motorcycle gear before we reached the door.
The jackets had been advertised as being from XXL to S but we could only find XL to M on the rack - not big enough and not small enough for the Davies shopping party. I have to say though, I was surprised by the quality, I've seen inferior gear priced at £200.
Anyway, I bought;
a couple of bike chain locks at £9.99
boots £29.99
Compression thermal underwear £7.19
Windstopper Top and trousers £19.98
Gloves £13.99
First impressions - this stuff is way better than the price would suggest. On the way home we popped into a local motorcycle dealer and the quality was on a par with gear priced more than 4 times the cost in Aldi.
I'll post up reviews when I've thrashed it around a while.
So who's been to Aldi and what did you buy?

GF and I went this morning to the Bridlington store, same there aswell, lot of trolleys full!
We came away empty handed as everything we ummed and arrd at at then decided we had enough of everything but I a agree it was pretty good quality for the price but it feels so wrong in the wrong surroundings!!
I think theres a couple of things from Lidl what I want though.

It's not Aldi but from Lidls I bought some textile trousers, disc lock, thermals, all in one waterproofs and cycle shoes.
All work well and I'd be happy to buy them again but the quality is so good they will all last for several years.
I'll try and put up reviews.

I think they have the same stuff, but not at the same time.

The compression underwear, tried them on, feels weird!
But, I took onboard what some here have said regarding base layers and decided to give them a try.
Looked at the boots but water resistant is not waterproof! I bought before, still have them in the wardrobe, wet feet! Not good!
Jacket looks good, trousers look a bit like "my arse is going to look big in them!"
I'm just off down with Fiona to see what she wants!
