I hope to try them on first before I buy off the net. I have a shoei/Arai shaped head but not a Shoei/Arai shaped wallet :(

Yes they are far less claustrophobic and they offer more perifaral vision.

I've got the Airoh S4 and the Uvex Enduro.

Airoh is noisy in comparison to the Uvex and doesn't have a ratchet type visor. The Airoh doesn't have an adjustable peak unlike the Uvex, plus the airoh visor doesn't go fully up over the helmet, unlike the Uvex. The Airoh is fine for a days greenlaning, but on longer trips which includes road work, Uvex every time. Def a big difference in the quality and finish.

The other lid some of the lads use and rate is the Acerbis lid. It was reviewed by some of the lads on the Devon TRF forum

Shoei DS HORNET has so far been the best helmet so far very good vis much better peripheral vision than my standard helmet pin loc so it does not fog up ,good vents (rode in 39c in Morocco no probs all in all a good well made bit of kit :)

I use an Airoh S4 and for the money it's superb!

£100 helmet, yes its a bit noisy and it does must up

If I open the visor a bit it's fine and on the plus side think of all the other stuff you can buy with the money you have saved

Shark Evoline I have the series 2 but it looks like they now have the ser 3. Best helmet I've had.
