Gripskinz

Post by MotoCP »

Thought I’d give these a try for a bit of extra grip and cushion.

The old grips were getting a bit hard and warn.

They took a lot off effort to slide over the old grips despite using a weak soapy water solution.

Went for an evening ride and at first they felt a bit odd due to the extra circumference and therefore the levers felt a bit further away but after 10 minutes they felt good and the extra cushioning against the vibes was a plus.

I do however need to trim back the throttle side grip as its binding on the bar end metal hand guard. Handy for cruise control but it wouldn't pass the MOT next weekend!

Worth the £12.50 I recon although if you've got smallish hands you might feel you haven't got as good a grip on the bars.

I tried them on my 690 in the hope of avoiding numb fingers but, even with my reasonably large hands, they were really uncomfortable as they were just too big for the right amount of grip.
At that price though, they are always worth a punt.
