Aldi today GT85...£1.99
Re: Aldi today GT85...£1.99
GT 85 is a silicon spray, whereas I think the main constituent of WD40 is fish oil. They both lubricate but it depends what you are lubricating. Some plastics swell under contact with WD40. You should not use WD40 to lubricate cables with plastic inners. If you use WD40 to keep the water out of spark plug caps, it works great for a short while but makes the plastic swell to allow more water in over time.
On metal to metal joints I personally think WD40 is slightly better. It also seems better at freeing rusty bolts.
Both have cleaning uses but again it depends what you are cleaning. Black plastic components will benefit from GT85.
Cheers Jak

Any advance on SIX tins
Other thing I like about the GT85 is it comes out at a higher pressure, makes clearing crud a bit easier.
