(but I can still bend and clean like fukkk .. 8-) )
The bending is okay it's the straightening back up that causes the most problems

Is GT85 similar to WD40..?

Peter
It's great for chains etc!.... Won't go wrong with it 👍
Its ok to clean a rusty old non o-ring chain so it looks look nice, but FFS don't expect it to lubricate anything at the loading a chain experiences, youd be better off dribbling sunflower oil on it

I read somewhere that, in an emergency, ANY oil is better than no oil, in an engine.
I certainly wouldn't use sunflower oil, of course,
as I prefer vegetable oil

on the subject of GT85 on chains .. I notice that it seems to last on chains much better than WD40.
I had already sprayed a bit of chain lube on my chain, on one occasion, the previous ride .. but had run out, so used gt85 as an emergency to get it more luby …. the chain was still shiny a few hours later?? .. (maybe it had brought out the previous lube?)

Using wd40 on door hinges used to eventually leave a carbon-like power residue in the general area.
but, as mentioned, wd40 seems better for cleaning.

Thanks for the heads. up, just got 3 tins, fine for bicycle chain and I find it's a better libricant than WD, makes black engine nice and shiny :D
WD is good at driving out moisture and great for getting paint off your hands, just takes a while to wash WD off

I know you were only joking but never ever ever mix vegetable oil with mineral oil, a process called polymerisation takes place which forms black treacle/sludge that blocks up the oil ways and wrecks the engine.
