I read somewhere that, in an emergency, ANY oil is better than no oil, in an engine.
I certainly wouldn't use sunflower oil, of course,
as I prefer vegetable oil

I know you were only joking but never ever ever mix vegetable oil with mineral oil, a process called polymerisation takes place which forms black treacle/sludge that blocks up the oil ways and wrecks the engine.
