Apps for mapping routes

Post by J Todd »

Can anyone tell me what apps/websites are good to use to mark out touring routes? pin points from place to place etc.

Thanks

Jamie

Don't know if this is any use to you?

I've downloaded it to one of my phones but haven't really done anything with it apart from using it to follow me where I've been.

Take a look at My Route App: https://www.myrouteapp.com/en. Online planning, download routes and/or tracks to sat nav. Has a companion app as well (haven't used that bit). It's very easy to use.

Furkot is good - https://www.furkot.com It will even find you hotels and nice routes along your route.
Kurviger is nice to find curvy roads too - https://kurviger.de/

You could try ViewRanger - you can do the route map on your PC and then sync the results to your phone and both setups are free to use without any significant advertising. You can also use the phone app to record where you've been if you just wanted to see for example when you've followed a mate and don't really pay attention to the turn by turn stuff of how you got to that pub/chippy/other

Cheers
