They are not srong enough to do any damage , as Stewie said a lot of folk use skateboard wheels but i had some door stops in stock , medium soft so any hard hit with the leg they will bend or tare off and the 4mm bolt only goes half way through the rubber

They look nasty to me .
Having seen many badly twisted ankles/knees (some needing surgery) caused by the riders foot jamming between the side of a rutt/rock and the swing arm I personally would prefer to have my foot push easily off the back of the footrest.
What's wrong with having grippy pads on the side panels and/or gripping the seat with your knees?
