Morning all,
Today I used these headphones for first time so I thought I would share my initial experiences. I know some of you don't like headphones when riding so please ignore this thread.
Last year I was using Sennheiser CX 686G Ear-Canal Sports Headphones while riding on the road and whilst they were good for running they stood a bit too proud and pressed in and didn't block out wind noise on the motorway without my turning the volume up to max which both lead to me needing breaks from them.
These have Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) which I've never used before and when I tested it in the house it felt like it just turned the volume up, but once it was ride time things were a lot more positive:
Pros:
1. They fit under the helmet.
2. On the motorway I can hear the music at a lower volume than regular in ear headphones.
3. They seem to cancel wind noise whilst I can still hear traffic.
4. All the parts seem fairly tough.
5. Has volume control at collar height
6. They stay in your ear even if (like today) I have two snoods on. I tested with quick head turns.
Cons:
1. No lapel clip included in the box so I added one from my old set.
2. They need to charged every 13 hours apparently.
I paid Β£29.99 and I think it was well worth it.
It appears I cannot post a link to Amazon...
Hope this helps
Bren

If I'm doing more than a few miles I use my NC headphones as earplugs. Don't have any music on, just use them to filter out wind noise.
The difference in fatigue is definitely noticeable after an hour or so.
Definitely worth the money

So I'm guessing you have these plugged into your phone?
Could you take a call with them? Not on the move I mean, but just to save taking helmet off once pulled over.

Yes it has a mic up on the cable. But there is no way I could pull over get my bike in neutral, get my gloves off find the mic in the snood and answer the phone before it went to answer phone.
I wore them wile I was vacuuming last night and accidently left it on because I totally couldn't hear it!
