Ref a answer.... Your garmin will hold the maps on its internal harddrive.. If you load sd card into the pc slot, then start up basecamp then connect your sat nav. Then chose the send to device icon it will send the chosen map files to the internal sat nav storage... You can load multipull maps this way..

To use each map you goto satnav map activation setting and turn on each map you wish to use at that time... Its complicated but simple when you know how lol... Look on youtube as lots of vids..

Also the best topographical maps for portugal are from topoluista web site and free, small size and work perfectly..
