Crash bars
Could anyone recommend some crash bars? Ideally for an F650gs twin, but if there a manufacturer or type (that are available for my bike) feel free to offer yr wisdom whatever you ride.

Re: Crash bars
I have just fitted heed bars to my KTM 990 adventure and they are a massive upgrade from the standard bars.they offer more protection for the tanks frame and plastics plus they look cool as fuck

Re: Crash bars
Eldest sons bike came with Puig bars fitted. They come up further than the BMW ones, but not as high as the AS ones.
Bike has been "rested" several times and they hold up very well, providing protection for the panels and the engine.

Re: Crash bars
Had Sw motech bars on one f8gs come up quite high similar to Heed never crash tested fortunately. Have givi bars on current bike they protrude a bit and seem to just cover the engine area however they make handy footrests to stretch your legs out on & had an 'off' in France enough to get the bars/headstock out of shape and bend the crash bars but no damage to plastics.

Re: Crash bars
Thanks all. I was looking at Heed but being new to all this “adventure “ malarkey, I’d no idea how well they are regarded. It seems they have a good rep so am probably going to get some.
Thanks for the feedback folks.
