I've raised a support case with Garmin, but there seems to be a wealth of knowledge on here, so I thought its worth asking.
My Montana 680 turned on and worked fine yesterday. I turned it off, this morning turned it on and all it displays is a white screen detailing software version, serial number etc. I've performed a factory reset, and removed the battery and SD card and the problem is still there.
Any ideas I could try before Garmin get back to me in 3 days time...?

With Garmin units you can sometimes press the power button for several seconds and it does a reset. Another option is to plug it into Garmin express and do a software update to the latest firmware and then do a restart. It worked with my MAP60 and my Map62.

I spoke to Garmin, and apparently its going into diagnostic mode which indicates a fault. I'm waiting for an RMA so it can go for repair, luckily its still under guarantee.
