KTM Heated Grips

I’ve got these on my 701 and I think they’re bloody brilliant. It hasn’t been trebly cold yet but they get very hot. On full draw my bike shows a volt drop of 1.3 V ish
They are better than the bmw ones but last time I had oxford ones it was so many years ago I can’t compare them

Thx for reply, it helps to get reports from real life users, who have tried different stuff, rather than the bloke selling it

Same as KTM ones and are about 52 quid. Just make sure you get the right size.
My old throttle KTM ones perished, where the cables go in. Got the Daytonas and just swapped out the throttle side. Same connections everything

Re: KTM Heated Grips
KTM has a smaller controller but you can't go up and down with the heat - must go up again and again to get to zero
Small thing but can be annoying
Also I have had 2 sets fail on me after 3-4 years, whilst the Oxford seem more robust and long lasting
That is my own experiences on 3 different bikes now

Re: KTM Heated Grips
Used the yamaha ones for many years. Get really hot and sleek looking. Expensive but a really good piece of hand warming kit. Battery saver built in.

Re: KTM Heated Grips
Greetings,
I have Symtec heated grips fitted to my Serow and Beta, they have been on for five years and are still working fine. The switches gave up and have been replaced with a waterproof flick switch housed inside an aerosol cap for extra protection.

Hi Asgard,
I don't have the KTM grips but do have the Honda (pretty sure they're the same just without the decal on the grip) I also have the Oxford on my CCM.
Pros:
Controller is discrete rather than a massive square on the bars
Heat is excellent & a full 360 without any cold spots
Grips are really comfy, I find the Oxford ones give me blisters as they're considerably larger and less tactile
I would say they are much more robustly constructed than the Oxford, especially the controller
Cons:
You can probably buy at least 2 sets of Oxfords for the same money (got an excellent deal on mine when I bought the bike)
You have to cycle through the heat, to be fair I've never found that an issue.
Mine have just died & haven't worked out why yet, just coming up to 4 years old. Admittedly they have seen some action as I use the little CRF commuting all year round, so been on for 1000's of hours.

With enough profanity, you can accomplish anything
