I bought this Metzeler MCE Karoo T to replace a TKC80. This tyre has done less than 1000km of mixed riding. Whilst they feel so much better on and off-road compared to the TKC80, they clearly don't last as long. I've just ordered a pair of Motoz Tractionator Adventure tyres, purely because people have been getting 6000-10000km from a rear. It'll be interesting to see how they compare on the 640.

Is a Karoo T the same as a Karoo 3 as I had 5000+ miles out of the rear of mine. Maybe I’m just super smooth...

No, the Karoo T is different to the Karoo 3. I'm neither slow nor a Dakar hero. Some have suggested it may be a fake metzeler, it was a €70 bargain on eBay.

I too got about 6000 miles out of a Karoo 3 rear, and the front is good for another few 1000 I reckon!
