Looking for DRZ400S rack & Pannier frames

Post by andrew882 »

Does anyone in the UK sell them?

Have done the usual scouring of fleabay and amazon, but everyone seems to be in the States and the shipping is horrific!

Doesn't seem to be any regular UK source for these as you've already discovered.

Keep scouring ebay, something might pop up, I found a nice alloy pro moto billet rack a couple of years back from a uk ebay seller at a good price.

Otherwise not UK but this from germany

no idea what they're like and pricey too but no import charges

There's not a great deal out there, let alone in the UK. Hepco & Becker make a set as well as OTR. There seems to be as much info about making your own as there is about an off the shelf set!
I'm sort of in this situation as well but really wanted them to keep soft luggage in place, not flapping about, and not melt itself on the exhaust. I know Giant Loop stuff normally comes with an exhaust heat shield though...

I have a bespoke set that was made up to carry wolfmans on a drz e. Has worked well on numerous trail camping trips.

Can post a picture up if anyone wants to copy and fabricate their own from the rough design.

Appreciate the offer of photos, I'm thinking that might be the best option to get some frames made up for the panniers

Designed for the e version with its' limited rear subframe.

Small links to fit the wolfmans to are actually links from a garden chain
