Given constant development and change I’m curious what others do/prefer.
I used to use GoPro albeit a few generations before the Hero 6 and stopped because the constant conversion and proprietary nature of it irritated me.
For the odd action clip, which action cams offers the best in usability, price and durability?

Re: To GoPro or not to GoPro?
I have the Veho Muvi. It has many of the same features but is a lot cheaper and most of the Go Pro accessories and mounts fit it. The only thing that annoys me is the separate buttons and menus for video and picture taking. You can get a detachable LCD screen to view the footage with rather than download the footage or sync it to you smart phone. I have downloaded the Veho Muvi app on my phone but didn,t get on with it.

Like the idea of similar attachment to GoPro so I can re-use helmet and bike mounts.
There is no app for this

You’ll always go back to the GoPro. They are great at what they do.
The recent Session 5 at £129 was an absolute bargain.

Re: To GoPro or not to GoPro?
Hi all,
Thread reboot...
Looking for a go pro type camera for the daughter wear on her horse after a muppet drove at her today on the wrong side of the road tooting at her, thankfully all ok due to the bomb proof horse.
Do I go with a go pro or another make??
All input gratefully received
Pete

I recently used a Drift ghost x recently on a trip to Morocco, used the extended battery to give 8 hours use..camera is about £130 and I think the big battery was another £30 or so...not all the functions of the latest GoPro but perfectly good enough...

Thanks for the input.
A colleague is bringing a Drift Stealth into work to have a look at.
£150 is more doable than £300+

Output quality.. of an issue with dust on the lens at times but you get the picture....the 8 hour battery life sold it to me....Petethefeet wrote:Thanks for the input.
