Have a look at these

You choose your own grips and when they wear out, cut the grips off and replace.
Had them on my bike now for a few years, just make sure the grips you choose are not too dense affects the heat coming through.

The new oxford grips turn off by themselves after a short period, they are super toasty as well, I fitted them to my CRF.

Is this for the TTr Bob? The stator output is not exactly huge. I have been looking at lighting, sat nav power, grips, etc and am leaning towards battery packs and a hotel!

heated grips review

1.
the symtec ones can be trimmed a bit (outside) and placed under normal grips
they only take about 3 or 4 amps .. so can be used with small stator/generator outputs
I fitted them to my TTR600, which had virtually zero electrical capacity, and they worked really well (when they worked) and were even too hot in cold weather. .. trouble is, as the ttr600 had no battery, I could not fit them direct, so had to earth them to the frame .. a (very) vibrating frame. .. and they mostly didn't work, as they lost earth contact all the time, due to wire chafing.
. great for low elec capacities / no-battery bikes
. thin profile for hand.
. earth point critical.
. potchy to fit.
. £57.

2.
oxford ones ..
very good heat output
cheap ones £49 need to be turned off after use
dear ones £74 have auto off
very easy to fit
a bit chunky for the hands
seem robust

3.
R + G ones
very very tight fit to the bars (difficult to fit)
good heat output
too thick hand profile for sports bikes
cheap

4.
honda ones
brill but very very expensive, £275.
slim
class
but heating varies
