Ive just ordered a 610 with Gb 1:50k map from Blacks. listed as £434 but with an extra 10% of so cost £391 new.

As i understand it the 680 is essentially a 610 with an 8mp camera. I don’t need another camera so went 610.

Good luck with decision.

Not so sure about the glove friendly touch screen.

Also I once borrowed a GPS60 and found it easy enough to follow the trace - and my eye sight is dreadful.

Good read ref the differente versions. I had a 680t and to be honest, i really struggled with it. . I wanted it for marine use, off road / on road bike use.

Obviously you have to buy data cards for each hobby so to speak. In marine mode it wasnt good at all. Screen way to small to navigate the jet ski around the coast and overly complicated to add :go to: etc

Wet gloves virtually impossible to make any inputs. direct sunlight forget it.

On the trails, the screen just wasnt big or clear enough. I had the topo data card which was expensive but the clarity of the data was awful. Ive been a garmin man for 20 years in marine stuff but
the 680t with the same size screen as a i phone 6 was just to small to see clearly.

After a week of trying to get it right i just got more frustrated with it and flogged it:(((

I wish the tom tom 400 450 would download GPX files easily as that is so easy to navigate around with.
