Electric Bike Dryers

Post by Nick_2112 »

Hi there, after watching a video of a guy drying his bike after washing it using a 2800w bike dryer costing over £100.

He then went on to mention (and gave a link) that you can get very similar 2800w dryers marketed as pet dryers from Amazon etc for allmost half he price.

My question is, has anyone succesfully used a pet dryer and what are their opinions? ......they do look almost identical. Is it a case of charging bikers more for basically the same product?
Thanks.

The Bruhl dryers get good reviews on car detailing websites as they also blow warm air the M.D. 2800pro (eBay 182973862254) your thinking of was recently recommended to me, it’s smaller brother the MD1900 (eBay 192345987945) is worthy of a look if your on a restricted budget

Heat gun/paint stripper

A leaf blower would work may not to well in present climatic conditions. But in the summer no problem, a mate has done it a few times.

If someone was thinking of spending £100 on a dryer you'd be better off with an air compressor, great at drying the bike and loads of other uses too.

Ya, I use my leaf blower. Is better than drip drying but not as good as a 5-10 minute ride.

Just before Christmas in B&Q they had a sale on Ryobi stuff, I think it was called One +one or something like that, so you bought a cordless drill/driver and a cordless ratchet gun in a nice little bag with a charger and batteries and got a Free gift from the range, I chose the mini leaf blower and with a full battery it will last around 10 mins at full power which is enough to blast water out of hard to reach areas, and its also cordless, I'm very impressed with all the bits and I think it was around £150.00. :D I think the blower on its own is around £60.00

I didn't realise this was a thing although thinking about it I saw a guy at Fowlers drying customer bikes with an air gun.

So I need a leaf blower now do I?
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.
