Leaking Zega Pro

Went for an overnight to North Wales last weekend during storm Brian, 180 miles up and no issues but after a night of moderate rain I opened my Zega Pro pannier to find about cup full of water in there. The bike was on the centre stand so I expected rain to run off the top, the sides of the case are straight, I bought them used but there is no damage. What is an issue is the silver band where the top meets the base doesn't close all the way up, it does on the top box but not on the panniers, could someone with a Zega Pro have a look when they get a chance to see if the two aluminium parts completely seal?
