I currently use a Chinese Knock off version of Ram’s X-grip.

Used it on all my bikes, as long as you secure it well complete with a tether you’ll be fine.

not Iphone related but I have a far eastern X-grip with charging point. Cost about £14 and it is holds my Edge 7 phone securely enough

Those quad lock mounts look great. I’ve never tried one but if I was looking at a bike mount I would be looking at one of those.
