R1200gs HID installation

Post by Jordash »

I fitted HID's to my R1200gs and my wifes F650gs (twin) last weekend. I got the kits from Les at hid50.com and cannot recommend them highly enough. Their customer service is phenomenal and the quality of their kit is great.

I put together a video on YouTube if you're interested in doing it yourself:

Looks a good solid bit of kit, just noticing your spots seem to be pointed outwards a long way.

The previous owner of my Tiger 1050 had fitted HIDs--but I've taken them OFF--a good light but lots of extra electronics and no flash due to the warm up time. Replaced with decent LEDs--half the power consumption and a better light--LEDs are now commonplace on modern bikes and cars--but if it works for you.
