Outdoor bike cover needed........

Post by exrm193 »

I'm after an outdoor cover.
Must be heat resistant as it will go over the bike while still hot when arrived home.
Any recommendations??
Thanks

Can't fault the R&G Adventure cover - though doesn't work well with luggage on the bike.

I've also got an R&G cover but I wouldn't recommend it.My tank and front mudgaurd have been scuffed with the stiff material rubbing on them.I'd be looking for something with a soft lining now.

I have a Tech7 adventure bike cover which completely covers my Tiger 800 complete with panniers.

M&P have them for £22.99.

Easy to fit, never leaked and does what it should. (thumbs)

I have an this http://www.dustoffcovers.co.uk/waterproof_hd.htm in XL and covers my BMW xcountry nice but would need a XXL for a larger bike with topbox or and panniers.
Had for one winter so far and is still waterproof.

Oxford Stormex .. the dearest one, £85? .. you get what you pay for.
I cover this with a cheapie £10 one to protect from UV, and give a non-descript appearance.
but don't forget the anti-cat device, or the Almax 16mm plus kryptonite 12mm anti-scrote devices. plus surveillance techniques in combination with anti-thief device  .

It all depends on whether you use your bike occasionally or regularly.
If it's regularly, just buy something cheap & cheerful. The fancy, expensive ones are great, but you're left with the dilemma of where the hell to put it when not on the bike. After a few months outside, you certainly won't want it in the house & the heavy duty don't scrunch down small. I'd just shove mine in the recycling bin
Thankfully I now have a garage, but a cheap Argos one kept the weather off my bike just as well as a 3x as expensive Hein Gericke one did.
I commute by bike so had it off daily

I finally found one that is robust & big enough that isn't too expensive.
Not the exact one, but very similar.

When I kept my bike outside the neighbour's cats ripped the covers up, repeatedly.
Nylon or canvas, they didn't care.
