Bar risers for KTM 1190 or 1090 Adventure R
Bar risers for KTM 1190 or 1090 Adventure R
Hi all. Apologies if this has been before. Assume 1190 bar risers will fit 1090. I'm 6'2" and have KTM larger risers already. Not quite enough. The obvious options seem to be Touratech and Rox. Does anyone have any first hand experience or recommendations please? Thanks, Tim.

Other option is to use Renthal bars - various lifts, widths, bends etc available.

at 6'2 with the larger risers that should be more than enough - have a think about your body position or perhaps get some training (have a chat to moly at sweet lamb), you shouldn't be bolt upright.

I fitted footrest lowering brackets. Certainly helps when stood up (and more comfortable on long runs)

If it helps anyone I have the 52mm KTM jobs already and height not bad when standing. I'm going to see if a set of KTM 10mm block risers onto of the 52mm jobs work. Should have them in a couple of weeks.

I like Si Pavey's words on bar risers:
"A popular subject in adventure bike world is the fitting of handlebar risers and we see many people fitting these in order to be more comfortable when they stand up. Being comfortable is sitting down and that’s why adventure bikes have nice cushy seats in the middle of the bike as against hard seats on a specialist off road or sports bike. Standing up is about control and engineers place the handlebar clamps above the steering head to give you control over the front wheel and when cornering off road we need to be able to manage the front wheel. For the most part when people fit bar risers they go too high and too far back. Unless you are over 6’4’’ (193cm) it is unlikely you need bar risers. If you do fit them then look for the minimal amount of rise."
