Well the rucksack could have space for a small helmet much like when rock climbing, just sayin :laugh:

Wrap it in a towel for protection, put it in a waterproof roll bag and bungee the whole lot on the back.
Or if you're pissed off with her forgo the waterproof bag... and then look on google for divorce lawyers :-)
