Looking for recommendations for cable locks for securing things like jackets and helmets to the bike - we're off to the Moto GP and in years gone by I've had the luxury of the panniers and top box to myself so I could put all my 'stuff' in the panniers instead of having to walk round all day in my bike gear.
This year however the girlfriend is coming as well so there's not going to be much, if any, room in the panniers so I was thinking of getting some sort of cable lock to thread through jackets, helmets etc and secure to the bike - needs to be quite small, no room for a 2m Almax chain for example!
Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to what to buy? (thumbs)

Re: Cable locks
The 10mm dia Kryptoflex cables will deter a casual thief but any cable lock can be "nibbled" through reasonably easily with good set of electrician's side-cutters.
Use with either a good quality small D-lock or maybe an Abloy 340 padlock.
I'd cover things up so scum can't see if it's worth the trouble to nick or not. We used to cable all our gear together and stuff it in a big army kit-bag, lock the cables to the bikes and wedge the bag between two closely parked.
Always put the locks out of the way. If it's a pain for you to lock them, it's very difficult for someone to attack them.

Re: Cable locks
I'd rather take a rolled up holdall and keep everything with me than return to find a cut lock and have to find new gear to ride home.
Current bike is a Yamaha T7
