That's the same as the GiT one that I've got.
It's a mixed bag, TBH.
Here's the negative: Anything you can squeeze into the front compartment will get wet and soaked in short order.
The bolts joining the front and rear parts together will mash into the crankcase if the bashplate is smashed (I glued some very HD foam over the bolts). There's a very cross thread somewhere on the KTM forum about this...he says when he asked AS if they would meet the cost of the repair to his engine they said it was a cosmetic part only. I've no idea if that's a fair summary of what actually went on.
The button head bots it comes with fill with crap very quickly and become difficult to undo: I replaced mine with some ugly hex head bolts.
On the positive side: it is really, really strong. Mine's taken hits that would have grenaded the stock part, and the paint is barely scratched.
I hope this helps.

It's an accurate summary, Richard.
The incident mentioned was on my mate's bike. The Bashplate buckled and a bolt tail punctured the case after a hit in just the right (wrong) place.

I have the AS one as it happens but only because I'd purchased it before my friend's mishap. I've modded mine too. If I was to buy now, without a doubt I'd get the Black Dog one...

There are 3 which protrude on the inside, they're counter sunk on the outside. They join a mounting plate with the main plate. Shit design. The middle one, specifically, lines up perfectly with the engine case seam.
