Hi Bond,

Some solutions I use are:
1) I use a plastic take away container to keep my puncture repair kit stored in the front section of the bash plate.
2) The front bolts will always fill with dirt, I replaced these with two Wing Bolts providing easy access to the kit in the bashplate
3) Replace the bolts that connect the plate and rear mounting together with solid rivets.

And last but not least I bolted two 14" tyre levers into the bashplate to make tyre removal easier.

Have fun on the bike, they are awesome.

Cheers

Andy

I do like your wing bolts Andy ;)

That's what I did, reversed the centre bolt and counter sunk it from the top down. The other two, I ground off the ends so there's less protruding and used some rubber doorstops as the buffers.

I've not caught the underside protrusion on anything as yet. But it's only something like a boulder or girder that would have enough rigidity to stop the bike's momentum.

I've csk the bolts from the inside, I'd rather have them protruding 10mm or so down than up

They look like a standard anti vibration mount that are fitted on the bottom of the feet of compressors and generators etc.
