Hydraulic work bench

Post by V2orV4 »

Thinking of buying one, not too much choice and it seems the Clarke is most popular at about £400. Heaviest bike to lift is a Honda ST1300. If anyone has advice on what features, build quality, safety etc I should look out for, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Steve.

Hi I bought one about six years ago from ebay it was about £250 and came from somewhere near Lichfield. It has no manufacture's details on it but looks identical to the Clarke one. I bought it when I was having my garage built, so it is sunk into the floor which means I don't trip over it but you lose a bit of height. The things you have to look out for are max weight (mine was 250kg and copes with a Cali III no problem)and make sure that you have the height in your garage, be wary of screens.
Cheers Jak

A lot of them are much the same spec, albeit with a different label on.
From previous research I've found that the hydraulic tables tend to come in 3 different lengths and have a capacity of around 1000kg, so choose one that suits and fits the space your intending to put it.

Today I bought one of these https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke- ... -atv-lift/ I went off the idea of a full bench due to lack of space and you still need to jack the bike on the bench to take the wheels out. B)

OK it's just that I know sealey have supplied in numbers to other manufacturers
You can fit a lot of them on a 40 foot container
