Camera Mount

Post by Adrian »

Hey guys

I need to find a way of mounting a minature camera somewhere on my bike to record my travels.
It doesn't have a standard camera screw thread.
It's a bullet style cylinder with a small round bobble on the bottom!

Any ideas what might be out there on the market?
The main recording module goes onder the seat so it's just the camera to mount.

cheers

you could always go for the tried and trusted approach of ......
Gaffer Tape!! :woohoo:

Worked for a Flip HD round Scotland.
Taped to the kerb side mirror, made for easy repositioning to get a better shot!

I'll try and get a picture up.
The bobble is really small.
I think I'm gonna have to manufacture something.....

noooo, i meant "is the small round bobble a RAM mount ball"?

although we now know it isnt. (do we though? RAM do smaller balls now, not just the usual 1", think they do a 1/2" now too)

RAM mounts are good, but a bit pricey i think. i have two balls on my bike, one on the dash for the satnag, the other on the front brake lever for my compact camera in video mode. (it also makes a very steady tripod for when your stopped too).

what diameter is the cylinder of the cam? it shouldnt be too hard to whip something up
