A clever fix for a problem that doesn't really exist? A bit like the cucumber cap.
A thread file does the job for me

People keep mentioning using thread chasers, die nuts etc....This tool isn't designed to replace those. Its a way of cleaning the end up so you can start a thread chaser or die to sort thread damage further down the bolt or stud. If the end of a thread is damaged then you cant start a die can you ?
It reminds me of better version of the spot welder electrode dressers I used to use.

Anybody who has had to thread bar stock will see the value of this tool.

I'm usually very easy to persuade to spend my money on toys but I'll stick to using a file thanks.

A 4" half round file will fit in any tool roll and do the same job wherever you are in the World (thumbs)
