Re: Garmin satnav at Aldi
Is it waterproof?
Does it work with gloves?
Does it have a mount that is resistant to the weather?
That help answer your "question"?

I use our XL size Tom Tom from the car on my bike no probs. it zips into a little water resistant case (mounts on h/bars so protected by the screen anyway) that bolts on. Only cost £10. Works fine with gloves.

I've got a cheap car one too.I can't see the screen in the sunlight most of the time but just listen to the instructions through speakers in my helmet. It does the job,it's not perfect but I'm not prepared to pay several hundred pounds for a bike specific one.

Rip off bikers every time
We buy things we don't need
With money we don't have
To impress people we don't even like

So every village you're heading to is signed from 50 miles away in every direction? :unsure:RandG wrote:I use road signs
Roads signs only work if you know the places you've to pass through to get where you're going!

I used to think that you had to have a sat nav when travelling until I met a French bloke in Argentina who was on a years trip around South America on his KTM and all he had was a map and a compass.
