Al, fit a usb socket on the bike, you can charge almost anything then.

Solar charger.....

Charging your BT headset will be insignificant to your battery, especially if you're using it daily. USB socket is the way to go, flexible too.

When Im away I have a socket on the bike to connect two drift power packs while riding. (one at a time! ) A drift power pack will keep my phone and Ipod charged for nearly a week.

Kept me powered up for a month on my last jaunt out

I bought them after someone on here mentioned them and they were on offer. My powermonkey had given up the ghost and only seemed to work intermittently.

I use a similar powerbank overnight, one with a decent built-in torch and recharge/top-up on the bike during the day. Has enough capacity to fully charge my iPhone 5 and still function as a torch.

I looked into this recently as my son id off inter-railing in the Summer. I concluded that a powerpack was a better option than a solar charger. I ended up getting him one of these:

12000mAh for £35 - should be enough to recharge a smart phone several times. Thinking of getting myself one too!
