Re: Route tracking things!!
Anyone changed from the #2 to the #3 and why? Is the #3 much better, when you seem to need to pay more for the subscription to get the extra services?

Re: Route tracking things!!
I have been working with 'youtrack' for units to go on quad bikes. The option to have a tracker against theft with the option of 'snail trail' downloads of your route and instant WHERE'S ME MATE, on google mapping plus ring fencing your bike in the garage. (Text to you mobile ).
They have a unit for about £120 that does all that and required a £5 a month live coverage. though many will poo poo the monthly bit, its a small price to pay for 24-7-365 tracking.
Thay are currently developing a spot-on style unit for under £100 that will do everything the others do, for less.

Looks liken the current tacker uses mobile, as it says roaming charges may apply if you use it in Europe, so would it work up in the highlands of Scotland / Morocco etc?Road2Manchester wrote: Thay are currently developing a spot-on style unit for under £100 that will do everything the others do, for less.

SPOT tracker - Stick in in your bag or pocket - it works fine either way.
No need for anything fancy re. mounts unless you want people to know you have one
My wife carried one in her shoulder bag while we went awanderin (thumbs)
