I'm looking for a top box for my Tiger. I already have Metal Mule panniers fitted so something metal would be preferable. The only thing is I am on a very tight budget these days so my maximum spend will be around £150… so I can't afford the matching Metal Mule top box…
My preference would be for a box that would hold two full faced helmets, however, when I measure them side-by-side, I seem to seen a case that is 600mm wide and that would overhang the panniers… and probably look really ugly. I supposed that as long as it can take one lid, I would be happy.
What do you guys suggest?

Re: Metal Top Boxes
It's from Toom Baumarkt here in Germany http://www.toom-baumarkt.de/ I'll have a look and see if I can post the actual item. I guess any DIY shop, like B&Q and the like will have similar. Actually, I forgot, it cost me £35 quid, as I had to buy the bungee fasteners for the top - which are actually cupboard door handles! The box is great. It has locks, handles, a rubber seal and is light but strong. Just needed a bead of silicone around the bungee point holes.
