Rotopax fuel & water carriers - Where and how do you mount yours?

Post by KTM Deano »

I've been looking at the Rotopax fuel and water carriers. They look like a great idea but I can't see how I could mount them on my KTM 990 Adventure (with or without luggage). The pannier racks (without panniers) don't seem to offer anywhere for them to mount to.

Can anyone offer a solution or any images please? Thanks

Not on a KTM but on my XT660R I simply mounted it to my after market rear luggage carrier. I will have a photo on my phone and will go on Tapatalk later to post something. A roll bag can still go top. If browse around US sites like ADVrider there loads of pics and discussions on mounting.

You are right: good solid bit of kit.

Look at the kriega solution for it, really good. the mounting plates are made from recycled plastic.

Although you will have to adapt one of the quick release locks, the front uppers oul the bodywork a little, I used an allen bolt which gave enough clearance and some security. Don't use them now so would be open to offers.

These have now gone.....

This can be fitted to the KTM Pannier frames as they're made by Hepco & Becker.
