the 2022 bikes have the ability to keep the traction setting ,the earlier bikes need resetting after the bikes stopped,

yep the spoked wheels can be hard to find now,

I've recently removed some restrictions from the exhaust so fitted an air fuel ratio meter to make sure i didnt melt the insides,

I tried to labour the engine and rev it out,

it fuels pretty well,

here's the video,

Thanks Dave :) we actually did a deal to sell my 650xt an dads gsxr 750 for two 2021 390 Adventures yesterday super excited hopefully should have them in a week or so. Then it'l be a case of letting the farkling begin :3

What are the bar risers you are running on yours?

Thanks to everyone that commented very much appreciated.

The bars are a strange diameter at the clamp sort of in between fat bars and standard so I swapped the whole clamps for these,

255269883733 (ebay no)

Then added a 30mm riser between and renthal fat bars

You can just put a spacer under the standard clamps to raise 20mm or so with a longer bolt,

Good luck to you and your dad with your new bikes and journeys,

Dave.

Given that you rejected the KTM's isn't the 300 rally now the obvious choice?

Hi Magnusson thanks for the reply I've covered why I've gone for another GS in my latest video and a bit about what happened with the Ktm's rejections.

Whether the GS ends up being the bike we take and what dad get's remains to be seen when the trip comes round it's filling a need at the moment though.

I reckon if I was to go for something else it'd be a Himalayan just waiting to see what happens with the 450 as the trips been knocked back now with what happened with the KTM's and getting set for a house move to possibly Scotland around Jan/Feb. I have got a totally outside the box choice that I'm weighing up if I give my dad my GS.

It hasn't turned to much of a wheels though as my shoulder is better finally so been able to ride the Norton 650ss daily rider again :)

Hopefully going to do a longer trip on the GS maybe a 600 mile or so day later in the week / next week once some of the flooding clears up.

Hi. That’s a nifty bit of kit you have there, does it read from a wide band sensor, that was already in the exhaust?

no you have to weld a threaded bung that comes in the kit then use a blank once you remove the dedicated lambda sensor
