Yeah I've had the Moto Morini X-Cape 5000 miles now. I quite like it.

The specsheet's not overly impressive but it rides well - nice suspension - and it's got a big bike feel without being too intimidating. It feels pretty well bolted together so i think it should last. Shame they weren't at Motorcycle Live.

It's a competitive sector out there now so not sure how well it'll stand up to the usual suspects of Vstrom, Tenere, Versys etc. I rode it back to back with a 650 Vstrom in the Scottish Highlands and whilst the engine is sweeter in the strom, I preferred the riding position and handling of the Morini.

I see they've just released pictures of a 1200 version which could be interesting.

If it has the 1200 Corsaro engine, it will be a monster.

I rode the original Corsaro...it was like a huge two-stroke motocross bike in terms of power.

From what I understand, it does indeed use that engine Richard, same as was in the Grandpasso. Looks pretty good too. Very Africa Twin esque.

I've just realised why the chinese bikes look so good ... they have flat seats .. because they have twin shocks.
the modern bikes have a momnoshock which needs to be longer and pushes the seat height up??
is this it?

.. that is, besides the need to do giant whoops over a modern silly motocross track?

Is this new Chinese-built KTM to counter the new Honda TransAlp?

Looks good 8-) .

Why do all the manufacturers film videos of 'adventure' bikes to make them seem like they are enduro bikes? I doubt hardly any 790's will be ridden like that in the real world.

Yes, I guess I shouldn't judge another rider's ability by my own standards... ...all I know is that I would have struggled to ride like that on my old KTM450...
