Today on the Fantic Rally

Post by lancashirelad »

It was the club I’m chairman of’s round of the Northern British Bike Championship today, I had to observe 2 sections as we are perpetually short of helpers, the upside of this was I got to ride off road in the scenic Forest of Bowland, downside is the bike’s filthy, I was to knackered to wash it having been out from 8.30-17.00, so that’s a job for tomorrow!!

Haines in the Forest of Dean do an infill piece for the back mudguard for not very much.

Be interested in a report on how the bike did.

Richard, if you are referring to the small panel near the rear light it’s fit on my bike as it’s a 21reg.

I had to change the bolts to black as they offended my near OCD with my bikes!!
I didn’t do a lot off off road but the bike seems to cope ok, it was a bit slippy on the grass but in my experience it usually is, goes quite well on the road 70mph being easily achievable, but as it’s only done 420 miles as of yet I haven’t over reved it as yet. The down side is I think I should have bought the standard scrambler not the taller rally version, I’m having a problem with my him & the bike seems a bit to tall for my short legs, I may make the decision to sell it if anyone is thinking of getting one watch this space!!

I'm sure you'd find someone prepared to swap...or even just swap the suspension units.
