I have now fitted the RaceTech front spring upgrade. I really does stiffen up the forks.

A couple of links if you are interested.

looking to upgrade the front spring/s on my crf 250 Rally 2019 ,, i just came across this thread from last year.

ebay link for Rally..
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184236633681 ... 4236633681

any good??

£119 good price ... whereas racetech want a min $200 order. (plus whatever, delivery and duty??)

.. are 2 springs better than 1 ??
or is the progressive one stiff enough?

Simple fork upgrade can be performed with fork oil from your dealer. Spring controls ride heigh, not suspension stiffness, so it's not compulsory to change the spring to upgrade the suspension. Changing the oil to different thicknesses, even mix and match 2 thicknesses for a custom thickness, will improve your bike handling. Not like a multi dollar tuned race suspension but it will be an improvement.
Stiffer springs will increase rebound forces slightly and in that way make the suspension act a little faster for the same oil thickness. So it is advantageous to get springs for your weight. But it's not necessarily. You can get improvement without it. Also, the fork is an air spring. You can play around with that too to get customized results.

The crf250Rally has 1 single oem spring. in the rhs fork.

I wanted to compare the racetech additional spring, for the lhs fork (giving 2 springs)
with the progressive single rhs spring replacement .

I would be replacing oil in both legs, with 10w. (with racetech.)

Thanks for any input.

looked at loads a stuff on internet .. crf25L fb group seem to think the racetech front spring is best .. its $123 but min $200 spend on the site. plus delivery from usa.
K teck looked good, but just the 1 spring to replace the 1 oem spring, only £119
Came across an ebay seller doing racetech for £88 ... should i take a punt? ... same part number ... states its a rally .. pic is different but says he not got a proper pic ...
hesitated, slept on it, hesitated ...
just pulled the trigger .. lol

ok .. so i'm an oap huddled over a small candle that gives light in the dark nights, and heats my old tin of half empty beans. I wear a woolly hat and wrap my tattered old sleeping bag around me all day, and for highlights catch the local bus for warmth. Sometimes a get off at tescos to look at what cheap bread looks like ... but hey ... i saved enough to bring my overdraft down to be able to buy a duff spring.
so chuffed with myself lol.
shame i can't ride the bike due to bad back and neck, and stiff legs that can't kick over the height of the silly seat height.
but ..

I ordered the spring :D
