Looks like the RE Interceptor is showing them the way despite not being the lightest, fastest or most powerful bike on the market.

My sentiment exactly...The RE650s have sold in large numbers, but very few on the used market here, and they go for close to new price.

RE has played a blinder, IMO.

If I'm honest, I could sure make use of those forward/rear facing indicators ! Much better than noticing the dash flasher, still on 3 miles down the road after turning. ;)

I've looked at the Kawasaki w650/800 a couple of times going back a couple of years but to be honest they were just too expensive for a second bike for me.
I can't believe how cheap the RE's are in India compared to the price we pay in the UK.

Made to a different spec though, when 'Itchy Boots' got her Indian-purchased Himy back to The Netherlands, it proved impossible to modify to EU standards.

Silly silly money , i just pain €4350 for a 18 year old bike with near 50k on the clock, the cheapest i could find in great condition , the average price is €5500 and they are going up in price, the W800 are cheaper €5000 will get you a 2010 ish bike but they don't seem quiet as retro imho ...................they do have a massive grin factor when riding them 8-)

I recently brought an original ancestor of the Kawasaki W800 a 1949 BSA 500 Twin which evolved into the A10 650 with a spring frame which was then taken up by Meguro. I notice the Meguro/Kawasaki occasionally appear on EBay from D&K and freddythefatfrog importers.
