I was expecting a struggle but it went on fine using just the two short levers and some WD40. I’ve even forgot to try out the ‘Bead Buddy’.

It actually took longer to get the bead fully re-seated. One side popped on at 55 PSI using the cycle pump but I had to resort to the bigger compressor which did the trick at 58 PSI.

Yes apparently the Motoz last longer but they need to do at nearly twice the price!

Good. I picked mine up off eBay second hand a few years ago for about £25 after it had been used on an African over landing trip. It still runs and looks like new so it should last me a while.

Had a busy but enjoyable day today.
Fitted a T7Rally tail tidy

Modified the Bumot rack that the previous owner had fitted.
Chopped off the grab handles so my throw over panniers would fit.

Also drilled and filed out some slot holes to the rear so the straps on my Kriega US10 tail pack (or ROK straps) could be passed through.

I was going to change the rack but now it’s all painted up it’s actually worked out perfect for my needs.

It suits the narrowness of the bike, doesn’t extend too far back and the low profile rails means the throw over panniers fit perfectly across the width without being lifted off the seat.
