There again I would have provided more comedy and entertainment for my fellow muckmunchers. It's so dull to be brilliant at everything...
I'd have fell of on the approach through shitting myself or just had no balls and hit the rock at a snail's pace and ended up stuck under the bike

Re: torque figures - engine bar mounting points for T7

Post by mark vb »

Re. the T7, does anyone know the correct (manufacturer's) torque figures for the main bolts, i.e. the ones which connect the motor to the frame, as these seem to be commonly used as mounting points? I suspect the generic figure for the size of bolt in question may not be adequate for a critical connection point, as clearly they are. Also, does anyone know whether using Loctite is manufacturer-recommended for these bolts? If not, I guess I'll try to access the factory manual.

Hi, Only had my T7 for just over a month now, still getting used to the hight, as more used to low sports bikes, but absolutely love her, great bike. Hope to do some big miles on her.

One downside of the T7 - for me - is the relatively poor tank range compared to the 660Z, which'll easily exceed 300 miles per tankful with normal road use. It's a shame that the new Rally edition hasn't been given a bigger tank, such as the Africa Twin & GS Adventure versions were.
