Re: Chinese bikes?
Just had a quick look at that CF Moto 650 motorcycle - looks really smart....! I wonder what kind of money they are..?
Parallel twin, seems to be based on the Kawasaki ER6 engine. 65bhp
Cheers

Re: Chinese bikes?
Thanks for the replies and for future replies
.. it seems they are ok then? .. or perhaps just the brands mentioned?
Comparing with my previous crf250L : .. I always thought that a cheap Chinese-like design and build [Thailand] (engine and suspension wise) .. so don't see why real Chinese bikes, of good quality, shouldn't be the same …. tho I have heard of some such bikes having poor electrics, cpu thingy, rusting, falling apart, chains snapping etc etc etc.??
lexmoto dont seem to do trail new .. but sinnis seems to be still going strong??

Re: Chinese bikes?
Not sure what the MT stands for, could be the start of a whole new thread " guess the motorcycle abbreviation"
I bought it new in 2018, I liked the spec and value for money, it was 5K on the road and came with the Shad SH36 panniers. It gives me the all round ride I was looking for, mid sized, plenty of power (70bhp) capable of carrying luggage for long trips, but fun enough for weekend rides
It has an 18L tank good for 250 miles, it has a Bosch fuel injection which is very smooth, Continental ABS, DID chain, adjustable brake and clutch lever, the clutch is really light and gear shifting is very smooth, LED lights all through and the headlights are amazing in the dark
I do my own servicing and the bike came with two genuine CFmoto oil filters which was very handy........
Some fettling since purchase:-
New taller screen I ordered from Cfmoto parts China, its a genuine part now fitted to the new 650MT
Hand guards again from China now fitted to the new 650MT
Two new tyres Michelin Pilot 4's due to a bad puncture in the rear not long after purchase
New decals which are my own design
New rear top box and rack, …...the rack I fabricated as there is not one available in the UK (not in original picture, new picture added below)
I've tuned the suspension to my weight and needs as its set two hard from the factory
Bought the optional lower seat as I'm a short arse
