I'm not sure I'd enjoy taking it beyond a gravel road!
My limit on anything more gnarly is a GS800.
I did a 350 mile round trip on it today, it's a really good mile muncher, defiantly in the same ballpark as a GS1200.

Hi SteveW,
Are there 2x different versions of the GS800, standard and Adventure models? Similar I'm sure but the Adv would have a larger fuel tank/range I'm guessing?
Cheers

Yes two versions....I've had both, probably the standard GS800 would be my choice unless you had to have 300 miles between fill-ups.
The S10 is a bit better suited to fast tarmac travel, smoother and more power......but I'd say the GS/GSA800 is a better all-rounder.
