Hopefully the RD04 counts as a proper one too.....in fact all of the 750s should I reckon.

Well said Tramp & On Hellas.
Miss-use of the @ name, IMHO. Calling the CRF1000/1100 an @ is just wrong.

Re: New 2020 Africa Twin.
I concur with this.... with the CRF1000, Honda got the naming quite wrong IMO. The 'proper' @'s (all XRV650/750's) were of course all V-twins, just like the NXR factory bikes put in the Dakar Rally. By the time the CRF came along, the rally was being run in S America, so at the best it should have been named the S America Twin. But to be consistent, it should also have been a single to follow the format of the factory bikes (maybe with a bit more capacity than the 450cc limit). To call it an Africa Twin is a mis-nomer; it's an imposter trading on past history which I suppose is understandable for marketing purposes.
Pedantic? Of course ☺

Re: New 2020 Africa Twin.
Motorbike prices are going ridiculous for what is (to most) essentially a toy?
***just like Britney Spears oops I did it again……sold the Scrambler & as of now there may not be a replacement***
