looks crisp and planted on the road .. you (minky) seem to rate the suspension, a strong point .. but how was the seat? (an important consideration for me)

I was quite excited when I heard about this bike.

But......

Must admit I can’t get over the fact this bike has 600 mile oil change intervals. That doesn’t really make it better than a pure Enduro bike which will be lighter cheaper and has more HP (if you want it). Not to mention the ludicrous price of Japanese bike parts compared to KTM.

Shame.....

The oil takes about 20 mins to change a little bit longer than a KTM because it doesn't have a quick release sump guard also the Honda has a plastic crankcase protecter which has to come off to get to the oil filter not really much of a chore if you do it together with a proper clean ,air filter clean/change ,chain adjust ,gives you chance to check the bike for loose nuts/bolts/spokes etc, the recommended piston change for a KTM 450 has come down to 60 hours', a Honda CRF450RX is 15 hours !! OK these are service intervals when using the bike under race conditions but still... my 2015 KTM 450 had 100 hour recommended change interval I changed mine at 200 and it needed it the teflon pads on the sides on the piston had worn through, the CRF450L has a deeper piston and 3 rings and has a service life of 20,000 miles.

Interesting....I have known many KTM EXCs with 3 - 400 hours on them and the head hasnt been cracked open. That said I havent owned one for a while.
