A friend and I collected a lovely brace of CRF250 Rallys this morning.
These are the bikes that Mike and I will be using for our trip to Mongolia and beyond in 2020... surprising really as I was convinced that we were going to buy a pair of Royal Enfield Himalayans. We had test ridden a few bikes and the RE was the front runner for me, then we popped in to the Honda dealer to look at the CRF250L but were offered a good deal on the Rallys instead.
After 70 miles of fun today, my first impressions are that it doesn’t feel or look like a 250... unless you look at the rear wheel! Power is plenty for what we want to do and it’s quite peppy. Suspension isn’t as bad as I was expecting after reading scare stories on ADVRider (fat Americans, obviously).
Looking forward to a year of fun before the off.
Oh... mine is the "black" one.

Really looking forward to seeing these two bikes covered in muck in Chinggis Square. And all the pics/stories along the way. Best of luck with the project guys!

Really love these, having seen Bren’s one, but couldn’t even get on one in Fowler’s this morning! I need longer legs
