I've done no suspension mods on mine, but I am a relatively slim 85kg (6' tall). The word on the street is that the YSS shock is a great replacement for the standard one. "CRFs only" do a good front fork kit, but you have to order it from the US.

When you fall over, the CRF is an easy bike to pick up........apparently😎

Yes for less than £300 the yss is probably the best thing you could do to the rally. Several of us have done it.
