This and other threads got me thinking, so now an owner of the type of bike I first owned, and which I passed my test on, a few years ago. Remember going out on the roads around York on it, proper adventure riding! The mighty YB100, a 1990's vintage not the late 70's I had, but a simple lightweight bike that I'm looking forward to riding around it's new homeland :D

Thanks :D not my hard work, and there's so many very unloved "barn finds" around. Many of the engines from my bike have been put into FS1E's. Still only get to 60mph (on the speedo) if it's downhill with a tail wind. Not surprised as I can remember tailgating lorries on the A1 to help above 50mph if there was a hill / headwind.

I’ve been riding for the past three days now and completed 580 miles, with only about 20 miles of that on motorways.
These small bikes will do the distance if you have the time.
The best bit is I’m getting up to 146mpg, so it’s cheap to travel when you want and that’s fully loaded too.

I've just been up to Yorkshire from Devon on my CG125. 360 miles each way, which was done in 12 hours. I enjoyed every minute of it ! I was (only) managing 105 mpg (imp), not quite as good as the cbf125, but good enough. Small bikes have a lot to commend them.
